Rise

New York Fashion Week, 2017

Inspiration

The collection is shaped by a speculative thought—what early sketch explorations for the Taj Mahal may have looked like during its initial stages of design.

It considers the idea of form in development, where lines, proportions, and structures exist in a state of emergence rather than completion.

Platform

Presented at New York Fashion Week, 2017

Work

The collection explores:

  • sketch-like line work translated into garment structure
  • hand embroidery on silk
  • form developed through layered construction

The garments are approached as evolving surfaces, where embroidery acts as a drawn line—extending the idea of sketching into textile and form.

Presentation

The collection was presented at New York Fashion Week, accompanied by a visual reference exploring the conceptual starting point of the work.
